Scientology - A Ruthless Global Scam?

Image
Lives Ruined by Scientology & Its Scams The lavish reception of The Church of Scientology London This cult/church claims to have some 50 million members and was started by science fiction writer L Ron Hubbard apparently to "clear" people of unhappiness. However from my investigations so far, it seems that unhappiness appears to be a very familiar word in the lives of the members of this global scam. According to those that have managed to escape this "organisation" it thrives by intimidating its followers in a style that would be more suited to the mafia instead of a place of religious study and worship.  During the past few years, occasional prosecutions against the "church" of Scientology have curbed its menacing behaviour a little. Eleven of the "Leading" Scientologists including the wife of L.Ron Hubbard were sent to prison during the early part of the 1980s for infiltrating more than a hundred government agencies, what we would today c

The Case of The Tortured Teenager

Notorious murder case re-opened in 2016 Who really tortured and killed this 14-year-old lad in 1979? The case of Alan Livesey was re-opened by Lancashire Police in 2016 despite his mother Margaret having been convicted of torturing and murdering him at their home in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire UK on February 22nd 1979. The teenager was found stabbed and bound at his home in The Crescent but the truth about who was really responsible for his torturous death has been shrouded by suspicion and debated widely ever since. Margaret Livesey was convicted of murder at Preston Crown Court in July 1979 and was sentenced to life imprisonment but maintained her innocence until her death from throat cancer in 2001, aged 64. Margaret was released from HM Prison Styal in 1989 with a lifetime licence to The Probation Service and went to live near to her daughter Janet in Surrey. Neither Margaret nor the family ever gave up the fight for the truth to be told about Alan, she even left a clause in her wi

Dr Helen Davidson - Is this murder solved?

Has This Baffling Murder Case Been Solved? Murdered doctor's faithful dog guarded her body until she was found On November 9th 1966 a doctor from North Road, Amersham, Helen Davidson decided to take her wire-haired terrier and a pair of binoculars and do some bird watching, sadly she was never to return home as the next day her body was found in Hodgemoor Wood she had been viciously murdered.  It took a 12-hour long search using dogs and 100 army soldiers to find the doctor, her dog was laying across her legs in order to protect her until she was found. The doctor's Hillman car had been found in the early hours of the morning of November 10th, 1966 parked in a lay-by on the road between Beaconsfield and Amersham but it took several more hours until 2pm that afternoon before her body was found about a half-mile into the woodland. The wood was somewhere that the 49-year-old doctor visited regularly with her dog. It was a horseshoe-shaped area of approximately 300 acres, so quit

The Nude In The Nettles Mystery

A Strange & Unsolved Mystery From Yorkshire This case has baffled many minds for almost 40 years A small headstone simply inscribed with the number 4601 marks the final resting place of an unknown female whose skeletal remains were found near to Sutton Bank in Yorkshire on Friday, August 28th 1981 after an anonymous phone call was made to the Thirsk Police. The male caller who refused to give any details saying that he could not reveal his identity due to matters of "National Security" gave the police an almost exact location for a badly decomposed body. The description of the location was "A lay-by on an unclassified road leading from Sutton Bank towards the villages of Scawton and Rievaulx" During the phone call, the man said "Near Scawton Moor House you will find a decomposed body among the willow herbs"  The road where the lay-by is located is in a rural location and used mainly by local people and caravanners on route to a nearby campsite. The sur

Esther Soper-Exclusive Brethren Murdered - The Story Unfolds    Loving Mother & Grandmother beaten with a heavy bottle, then strangled with her own tights I want to kick off this post by making it clear that this is a more up-to-date blog that follows on from my original one looking into this case. Much of it will be similar but there are many new and interesting points Unsolved Murder of an Exclusive Brethren The most important factor here is that this dreadful murder was committed in 1976 and remains unsolved to this day. The original 1976 enquiry lasted some 7 months with many man-hours dedicated to it by some 80 officers of Devon & Cornwall Police. This is where things seem to really not make sense, in the many cases that I have studied there have usually been at least an arrest or two and definitely, people questioned about the crime, but not in the case of quiet unassuming Esther Soper.  Mrs Soper was a 51-year-old widow who didn't really associate much with other mem
