  The Story of John George Haigh The man who almost committed the perfect murders Well quite unusually for me this is a solved crime case but nevertheless has some great history and bearing in mind my investigations into religious cults, this one is very relevant. John George Haigh was born in Stamford, Lincolnshire, England in 1909 and was brought up in West Riding, Yorkshire. Now interestingly his parents and family were dedicated, fervent members of The Plymouth Brethren church but more of that later. In 1945 Haigh began a killing spree that ended in him being famously known as "The Acid Bath Murderer", although he did not actually kill using the acid baths. Who Killed Sharon Harper?  Sara Fowler is desperately trying to establish who killed her mum in 1994 I decided to research this case after Jarad Adams published a blog back in the summer, covering the murders of Sharon Harper and Julie Pacey in Grantham, Lincolnshire in 1994.   The Unsolved Murder of Ron Cousins   April 16th 1994 Ron Cousins was found murdered in his own home 78-year-old pensioner Ron Cousins was found dead in his own home April 16th 1994, there were red ligature marks around his neck, chest and back. A knife had been layed on his chest, he was covered in white paint and his bible had been torn up with several pages stuffed into his mouth.  The bath taps had been left running with the water overflowing, the curtains through the house had been closed and the house completely trashed.
